“Art As Practice” Opening Reception at the LBIF

For more than 40 years, Montclair State University’s Department of Art and Design has educated artists and designers who impact, interpret and shape the visual world around us. This exhibition of 21 faculty artists and designers will feature more than 60 works of art and will encompass a wide variety of mediums, such as drawing, illustration, painting, video, sculpture, engravings, techtronics, photography, ceramics, and printmaking.

These educators have the unique ability to transcend traditional ideas, rules, patterns, relationships, and to create meaningful new ideas, forms, methods, and interpretations.
