Event Schedule:

GUINNESS WORLD RECORD™ ATTEMPT CONCH HORN BLOWING • SATURDAY, RAIN DATE SUNDAY
Registration: 1p-3:30p; Event from 3:45p-4:15p in the designated area at Things A Drift. Registration is free. Participants will receive a certificate.

Help us reclaim the record for LBI which we held in 2012! We need 350 or more participants to beat the current record.Guinness World Record™ Official Rules must be followed to avoid disqualification, and are as follows:

• All participants must register.
• Participants must use only the Queen Conch (Lobatus gigas).
• Only registered participants with a Queen Conch are permitted inside the secured official Guinness World Record™ attempt area.
• Only participants seen blowing the Queen Conch in the official photo and video will be counted for the Guinness World Record™.

This year, we will also attempt to add to the Guinness World Record™ by playing a short six-note tune. Free lessons will be available all day. Bring your own Queen Conch (Lobatus gigas), purchase or rent one at Things A Drift (I.D. required for rental). BEST SEA GLASS CONTEST • SATURDAY & SUNDAY
Registration: 11a-3p; Judging 3p-3:30p – Enter up to two genuine sea glass or sea pottery pieces. Entries must be found – not purchased or set into jewelry. Ribbons awarded for the following categories: Best of LBI, Best of New Jersey, Best from Around the World, Best Stopper, People’s Choice, and Best Overall.

GUESS THE GALLON • SATURDAY & SUNDAY
Whoever guesses closest to the total amount wins the entire jar of genuine sea glass! Winner to be announced Sunday after closing.

WRACK LINE SCULPTURE CONTEST • SUNDAY
Registration: 11a-1p; Judging at 1p-1:30p – Create a sculpture made from debris that washed ashore, trash or natural. You must have the sculpture made before the event. It can be any form, subject (rated G please) or size, but should fit on a table. Ribbons awarded for First, Second, and Third places.

FOSSIL & ARTIFACT CONTEST • SUNDAY
Registration: 11a-2p; Judging at 2p-2:30p – Enter one beach find, such as a fossil, bone, archaeological item, shark tooth, arrowhead or oddity. Entries must be found – not purchased or set into jewelry. Ribbons awarded for First, Second, Third, and Best Overall.

ALL FESTIVAL LONG
Sea glass, fossil, and beach find identification with local experts. Book signings with local authors. Genuine sea glass jewelry artisans, original coastal artwork, metal art, fossils, photography, curiosities, nautical home decor, and more.
