Support local small businesses and artisans for Small Business Weekend at the 2nd Annual LBI Seashell Festival. Shop our unique market – where everything is handmade by the artisans/vendors – for finely crafted holiday gifts featuring local artwork, authentic handmade sea glass jewelry and gifts, artisan cards, nautical designs, original metal art, home decor, photography, and so much more.

**VENDORS** – We have limited space for vendors. All potential vendors must be will to show examples of their work before being approved. Contact Cheryl at cheryl@thingsadrift.com with examples of your work. MUST BE handmade nautical, seashell and’/or sea glass related small businesses.

Events:

People’s Choice Seashell Contest – Saturday and Sunday
Registration 11 am – 2 pm; Judging at 2:30 pm
Open to all ages and levels of collectors. Enter one of your favorite seashells in one of the following categories: Best of LBI, Best of the Atlantic, Best of the Pacific and Best Specimen (Museum/Collectors Quality). Winners will be determined by the votes cast in each category by festival goers. Non-winning entries on Saturday may enter the contest for Sunday. Contestants must remain with their entries until the conclusion of the event.

Our Vendors’ Homemade Cookie Challenge – Saturday
Judging at 2:45 pm
Our vendors are vying for the title of Homemade Cookie Challenge Champ, so they are baking their very best. Festival goers will be the judges by casting their vote for their favorite.

Guess the Jar – Saturday and Sunday
Drawing at the end of the festival Sunday
Everyone’s favorite! Guess the number of seashells in the glass jar, without going over the actual number, and win the entire jar.

Expert Sea Glass and Beach Find Identification – Saturday and Sunday
Have you found something at the beach but don’t know what it is? Our local sea glass and beach-find experts will be on-hand to identify your finds and answer your questions.

Admission and events are FREE to the public. Shells from everywhere welcome! On-street parking. Children of all ages welcome!

For the safety of our visitors, no pets allowed on venue grounds. Service dogs always welcome.
