March 23: Introduction to Oceanography
Presenter: Ben Cilley, Teacher & LBIF Marine Bio Instructor
The ocean is huge. We know more about the surface of the moon than we do about the depths of the ocean. Come learn about how this vast body of water affects everything from our weather to our feelings. Learn how tiny differences in temperature and salinity are responsible for keeping the tropics cool and the temperate regions warm. Take a dive into the ocean depths that receive no sunlight, but make up over 99% of the volume of space on earth where living things exist.
