For more than 150 years, the Barnegat Lighthouse, or “Old Barney”, as the locals know it by, has graced the inlet of the northern end of Long Beach Island.
Each year, the non-profit organization, Friends of Barnegat Light State Park, host several family-friendly event in order for new visitors to experience not only the lighthouse, but the surrounding park as well.
The final event of 2015 – a night climb and campfire – is scheduled for Saturday, October 24 from 7 to 9 p.m.
If you haven’t gotten out to a night climb either this year, or any year prior, we encourage you to attend. The view from the pinnacle of Old Barney is amazing – especially at night.
We hope to see you there!
