Just as we embrace other seasons and holidays here on Long Beach Island, Halloween is certainly no different! This weekend, the ghosts and goblins (and princesses and Star Wars characters) are sure to be out in droves again, enjoying these scary (but not too much so) events on LBI:
Friday, October 30:
Beach Haven Volunteer Fire Company – Halloween Block Party. Food, drinks, crafts, DJ, gaming tables and more! 5 to 9 p.m., South Bay Avenue, Beach Haven.
Surf City Trunk-or-Treat – Surf City PD and Surf City Volunteer Fire Co. put on first ever Trunk or Treat event. This event is a free, safe alternative to traditional trick-or-treating and will surely be a fun-filled evening for the kids. 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm, Surf City Volunteer Fire Company.
LBI Foundation Haunted House – Long Beach Island Foundation of the Arts & Sciences presents their Haunted from 8 to p.m, $3 donation in support of Children’s programming stop in to see what these creative minds have in store for you. 120 Long Beach Boulevard, Loveladies.
LBI Foundation – Bellarine Theatre Company presents the timeless Halloween classic, the Rocky Horror Picture Show at 10 p.m.
Saturday, October 31:
Harvey Cedars Halloween-Friendly Trick-or-Treat – Residents and businesses can join the Giglio Awning Team, by signing up for a safe and friendly Trick-or-Treat for children. On Friday, October 30, parents can pick up a list of participating residents and businesses at HC Borough Hall. Safe places will have a sand-filled Jack-o-Lantern in the front of their homes or businesses. On Halloween, Sat., Oct. 31 between noon-4 p.m., please stop by Giglio Awning, for a cup of hot or cold apple cider, apple cider donuts and a Halloween treat.
