If you thought Santa Claus wasn’t a beach guy, boy were you wrong.

In fact, after he and Mrs. Claus made waves last weekend by arriving at the north end in Barnegat Light via Coast Guard vessel and then hanging out in Viking Village, Jolly Ole’ Saint Nick is now making his way south on Long Beach Island this coming weekend, with a stop in Surf City before serving as the Grand Marshall for the 36th Annual Ship Bottom Christmas parade.

On Friday night, Santa will make an appearance at the Good Life Gift Boutique for the 1st Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony in Surf City. You can click this link for the event details. This event is open to the public and is free or charge.

After convening the festivities in Surf City Friday night, Santa will roll (literally) down Long Beach Boulevard on Saturday as part of Ship Bottom’s Annual Christmas Parade.

This year’s parade theme is “Fishing You A Merry Christmas” and begins at 1 p.m.

It’s shaping up to be another wonderfully festive weekend on LBI!

Don’t forget to eat, shop and be merry local!

We’ll see you there!
