Member Wednesday: m.t.burton gallery & 19th Street Clay Studio

m.t.burtonHey there all of you LBI lovers and welcome to our latest ‘Member Wednesday’, where we get to highlight some of our awesome members and the cool things they do to make Long Beach Island the best place to vacation, live and work!

Today, we’re shining the spotlight on the m.t.burton gallery. Enjoy!

Located on the Boulevard in the heart of Surf City, the m.t.burton gallery is one of the more established local spaces leading the recent cultural renaissance of Long Beach Island. It is owned and operated by Matt Burton, president of the LBI Arts Council.

The m.t.burton gallery, established in 2000, represents national and regional artists. It exhibits pottery, sculpture, paintings and photography. In addition, it offers pottery classes in its studio.

mt.burton gallery has many unique handmade and wheel-thrown pottery pieces. In its gallery, you will discover all types of ceramics that include stoneware, porcelain, majolica ware, wood-fired, and pit-fired pieces. Over two dozen ceramic artists produce work for sale at our gallery.

This weekend, the gallery will host its annual Summer Arts Opener – a gathering of art, music, food and community. For more information on the event, please click here.

We are so very honored that the m.t.burton gallery is a part of our Chamber family! For more about the gallery, and to view its business listing, please click here.
