Wednesday, June 21st marks the first day of Summer and LBI has a boatload of events this upcoming week to get your vacation off to a great start!
June 20th, 21st, and 22nd:
Ship Bottom: Local SB merchants will be participating in sidewalk sales during these three days.
Thursday, June 22nd
Surf City: Summer Reading Family Fair at the LBI Branch of the Ocean County Library. Free Admission, more info click here.
Friday, June 23rd
Beach Haven: Surflight Theatre is premiering its summer line-up of musicals with its first performance of Footloose! Click here for tickets.
Loveladies: This will be the last weekend to enjoy the LBIF’s 19th Annual National Exhibit, Works on Paper. Free Admission! Want more info? Click here.
Surf City: The LBI Branch of the Ocean County Library will be showing a Friday Afternoon Movie, Far From Heaven. Event info here.
Saturday, June 24th
Barnegat Light: The Annual Jazzy Scallop & Seafood Festival will be held from 2:30-5 at the Viking Village Commercial Fish Dock (Tickets: $25 in advance, $30 day of). More info, click here.
Barnegat Light: Night Climb at the Lighthouse starts at 7 pm and runs until 9 pm. Donations suggested.
Surf City: The 4th Annual Classic Car Show to benefit the Surf City Volunteer Fire Company will be held at the Surf City 5 & 10. Free admission!
Beach Haven: Shape Fest, an annual local boardbuilding festival, will take place at South End Surf ‘N Paddle from 1 pm – 10 pm.
Whole Island: LBI Artist’s Open Gallery & Studio Tour (Saturday 6/24 & Sunday 6/25). For a list of participating galleries & studios, click here.
Sunday, June 25th
Brant Beach: Sunday Acoustic Concert (Shoresyde Duo/ Lynne Menna & Ray DeAngels) starts at 12 pm at Bayview Park in Brant Beach, more info here.

Monday, June 26th:
Surf City: Weekly Farmer’s Market begins this week! Every Monday from 8 am to 12pm you can find organic and CNG produce as well as local artisanal goods. Located at the Surf City Volunteer Fire Company building.
Brant Beach: Monday Night Concert (Funk Schway) at Bayview Park, starts at 7 pm! More info here.
