72nd Annual Long Beach Island Surf Fishing Classic (Start)

The 72nd Annual Fall Surf Fishing Tournament runs from August 29th to November 29, 2026. Last year’s new format was a success and we are excited to see even more competition on the beaches this fall. Be sure to review and familiarize yourself with the rules and prizes which will be posted once finalized.

$40 – General Registration
$20 – Youth Registration (17 & Under)

Stay tuned for 2026 event details. This legendary event, one of the world’s oldest and most prestigious surf fishing tournaments, offers anglers a shot at over $25,000 in prizes for landing striped bass, bluefish, kingfish, blackfish, red drum and fluke.

Last year, the 2025 event ran with a modified structure incorporating a shift forward in dates and a revised prize structure as well as the inclusion of fluke aka summer flounder to the target species roster.
