Reflecting on 2024: A Year of Memories on LBI

As we close the chapter on 2024, it’s time to look back on the incredible year we’ve shared here on Long Beach Island (LBI). This past year has been a celebration of community, creativity, and the undeniable charm that makes our island a truly special place. From exciting events to breathtaking natural beauty, let’s reflect on the highlights that made 2024 unforgettable.

Supporting Local Businesses at the LBI Job Fair

We kicked off the year with a mission to strengthen our local businesses through the annual LBI Job Fair at the St. Francis Community Center. This event connected businesses with enthusiastic team members, setting the stage for a successful summer season. It was a testament to the power of community and collaboration, ensuring the vitality of our island economy.

Summer Nights and Creative Celebrations

LBI came alive this summer with music, art, and celebration. From the soulful tunes of our Summer Night Concerts to the lively craft shows and cultural events, every corner of the island buzzed with energy and creativity. These moments brought together residents and visitors alike, showcasing the heart and soul of our vibrant community.

Soaring to New Heights at the 10th Annual Invitational Kite Festival

October brought one of the most awe-inspiring events of the year—the 10th Annual Invitational Kite Festival. The skies above LBI were transformed into a canvas of color and movement as kites of all shapes and sizes danced in the breeze. This collaborative event with Ship Bottom and Long Beach Township not only celebrated artistry but also reflected the unity and shared spirit of our island’s communities. We are thankful for the flexibility with all the new changes to this past years events are can’t wait to continue to grow in future years.

The Natural Beauty of LBI

While the events were unforgettable, the true magic of Long Beach Island lies in its natural beauty. This year was no exception, with radiant sunrises, mesmerizing sunsets, and the ever-changing melody of waves gracing our shores. Whether you’re a lifelong resident or a first-time visitor, LBI’s scenery continues to captivate and inspire.

Thank You for an Incredible Year!

We couldn’t have achieved such an extraordinary 2024 without the unwavering support of our six townships: Barnegat Light, Harvey Cedars, Surf City, Ship Bottom, Long Beach Township, and Beach Haven. A heartfelt thank you also goes out to our local businesses, whose dedication and passion keep our island thriving year after year.

As we look ahead to 2025, let’s carry the memories, spirit of community, and shared joys of 2024 into the future. Here’s to more milestones, meaningful connections, and magical moments on our beloved island. Cheers to Long Beach Island and the incredible people who make it shine!
