Last Events Blog Until September!

Alas, we have entered the last two weeks of August. Not to fret – these next weeks are filled with fun events and activities for the whole family. We are looking forward to a fun-filled September as well!

Tuesday, August 18th

Ship Bottom: Kids event! Join ALO to find out what lives in our very own Barnegat Bay. “This free and fun event will highlight the amazing creatures that call our local waters home. All critters are handled with care and released after we take some time to view and talk about each species. Registration required. Spots are limited to promote a safe learning environment for our volunteers and you. Masks will be required when necessary.” This event is hosted by the ALO. Wednesday, August 19th

Beach Haven: Veterans Memorial Park in Beach Haven hosts live music starting at 7pm. A note from the host: “Please note that we will be strictly following the guidance of the CDC, State, and local Government regarding Covid19. We would expect that our guests will wear a mask/face covering at check-in, and will practice social distancing within the concert area.” This event is hosted by the Beach Haven Community Arts Program.

Thursday, August 20th

Barnegat Light: Sand Sculpting Contest on 25th Street in Barnegat Light at 2pm. Open to amateurs of all ages (children, adults, groups). Rain date August 21st. Please call 609.494.9196 for more info.

Friday, August 21st

Brant Beach (LBT): Fire Pit Friday featuring free live music performed by the “Verdict.” This event occurs every Friday on 68th Street beach from 7-9pm . “Bring your blankets, beach chairs, coolers, and family to enjoy an evening of music on the beach! Social Distancing applies to groups not with each other. Please be respectful. Sunday, August 23rd

Brant Beach (LBT): Enjoy a Sunday Afternoon Concert featuring “Chevy Lopez” from 1pm- 3pm. This event occurs every Sunday from 1pm-3pm, and features free live music. “Social Distancing applies to groups not with each other. Please be respectful. Monday, August 24th

Barnegat Light: Last Barnegat Light Summer Concert for 2020! “Shorty Long and the Jersey Horns” will be playing at 7pm at the Bay Breeze Pavilion. Please social distance and war a mask. Attendance may be limited. Please call 609.494.9196 for more info.
